About
Lawyers for Good bridges the gap between law professionals looking to give back and communities that would benefit hugely from some support. We facilitate the exchange of knowledge, skills and compassion through purposeful connections.
How We Work with Lawyers
Our lawyers come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from banking, finance and the wider corporate sector to immigration, family and criminal prosecution. We match our lawyers with charities, social enterprises and projects both in the UK and overseas. We’ve offered legal expertise to a variety of causes, from refugees navigating their asylum applications in Greece to women-led start-ups seeking micro-finance in Malawi.
Our roles are both voluntary and paid, part-time, full-term and fixed-term.
How We Work with Law Firms and Legal Teams
Lawyers for Good also works in-house with law firms and legal teams to help build a positive culture through CSR initiatives.
Our CSR Outreach Programmes work closely with charitable and community-based organisations that, among other things, provide support to the homeless, women’s shelters and advice helplines on an ongoing basis. We also establish overseas LFG secondments as an option for trainees upon qualification, or for qualified lawyers who might be reconsidering their careers and would benefit from a career break.
How We Work With Law Firms and Legal Teams

Lawyers For Good can help develop the perfect CSR Outreach program for your Law Firm or In-house Legal Team.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Our vision is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, a roadmap for global development to achieve a fair and just world. The 17 goals were agreed upon and signed by 183 heads of state in 2015, but the responsibility falls on every person on the planet.
As lawyers, we are in a particularly empowered position to make an impact and contribute towards the goals, whether it’s through advocating for human rights or settling cases of unfair trade, gender-based discrimination and environmental destruction. As humans, we’re in a position to lead with compassion.
Lawyers for Good is committed to working towards the SDGs. The causes we support are chosen for the work they do towards achieving this wider vision for humanity and, through our facilitation, we’re able to help our network of legal firms and individuals do the same.
The
LFG Network
Finding a like-minded community is crucial for surviving the high-paced, results-driven world of law. The opportunity to share ideas and collaborate with other lawyers working with more purpose can contribute to long-term fulfilment in the industry.
The LFG Network is an online hub for discussion and support, a platform where lawyers for good can connect, network and share their experiences of working on an LFG secondment or project. We also host events both independently and in collaboration with our partner organisations to promote the LFG ethos and offer learning and development opportunities.
